Dina is originally from Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she relocated into Dix Hills on Long Island shortly before finishing her junior year. Two of her brothers are Gregory the elder brother of her and Evan. When she was between the ages of 9 and 16 the first time she was exposed to the world of modeling was when she began modeling. Her acting career began with The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was studying Sanford Meisner's techniques along with Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among other actors to receive this kind of education. Her first role was in Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to relocate in Los Angeles. Within the following couple of months, she was offered the part as Johnny Mnemonic. For this film, she was the one responsible of almost every stunt and showed herself to be an excellent actor. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to land a regular role on Friends.
